Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a high temperature, polymer thermoplastic useful in engineering applications, as it is resistant to chemical and fatigue environments and has excellent thermal stability. The carbon fibre improves the compressive strength, stiffness and load carrying capacity of PEEK.This material provides significantly higher thermal conductivity than unreinforced PEEK, and as a result reduces its thermal expansion rate. It offers the highest chemical resistance of any semi-crystalline plastic with excellent retention of mechanical properties up to 300°C. PEEK offers a combination of superlative properties that allow it to replace metal in some of the most severe end-use environments. It is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained to high temperatures. Up to 60% lighter than metals and metal alloys and five times higher strength. Insulating properties that reduce noise, vibration and harshness.

Greater durability in harsh chemical environments compared to metals

Long-term reliability due to excellent fatigue and creep resistance
